Filter materials are subject to a wide range of usage and operating conditions, which negatively affect the service life and performance of the textile filter medium.

A distinction is made between resistance to

• chemical attack (acid/base, solvent, hydrolytic decomposition)
• thermal attack (excessive temperatures lead to shrinkage and loss of mechanical properties)
• mechanical attack (holes and cracks, destroyed seams, etc. due to abrasive flow, etc.)

The most important point, however, are the requirements for maximum emission and pressure loss dp, which must be met for a given filter area load and plant operation, in batch mode or continuously 24/7 for months.
